Beds for Tots
A project to help improve the lives of a group of orphaned children
in Kazakhstan
The not-for-profit organization Ark Mission along with the Vinci family, is kindly asking you to help to the young children in one of Kazakhstan’s orphanages. The beds they sleep in are old and worn out. Please help us provide them with nice, new beds and very sweet dreams. We are kindly requesting your help!

In the vast steppes of central Asia there is a place called Zhezkazgan, a community in the Karaganda region of Kazakhstan. The orphanage there, often referred to as a ‘baby house’, is the home for approximately 100 children from birth up through age 6.
This place holds a very special place in our hearts, as it was here that we visited and adopted our children in 2006. We are not the only ones - a number of families have adopted from this particular orphanage over the last few years.
And as one might expect, having spent time in Zhezkazgan and at the orphanage we have a lingering desire to find a way to help this place, to help the orphaned and abandoned little children. So recently we asked Ark Mission and Ark Mission to find out what is needed for the orphanage.
What the Zhezkazgan orphanage management has requested is funds to purchase new beds; hence the ‘Beds for Tots’ project. They need at least 50 new beds for the children that have moved from cribs, for the children from ages 2-6. The existing beds are old and worn out, are often broken or in need of major repair, and they are not at all comfortable for the children to sleep in. Based on the market and shops there, orphanage management estimate the beds will cost $150-$160 each.
So the goal of this project is to raise $8000, and we are asking for your help to make this request a reality - to give these children in the orphanage new, comfy, cozy beds to sleep in each night, to have a place for the sweet dreams all children should have.
Ark Mission is a non-profit, 501 (c) (3) organization. Your contributions – every penny - will go directly to this project. Please send your donation to their address below and be sure to include a notation for the ‘Beds for Tots’ project. Ark Mission is participating in a matching program for this project, so for every dollar you donate Ark Mission will also contribute the same amount.
