CHRISTMAS/NEW YEAR DONATION ACTION WAS A SUCCESS

Ark Mission is happy to report that our "Christmas/New Year Donation" action was a success. We had several projects: among them "Christmas/New Year Presents for Orphan Children" and "A Christmas Wish of an Orphanage." As a result of your generous donations we were able to buy presents for orphanage kids, sports equipment, holiday costumes, food and other items for two orphanages. One orphanage was able to order costumes for the Christmas and New Year celebrations and the orphanage children were happy to perform different national dances in different, colorful and beautiful costumes. "A Christmas Wish of an Orphanage" also was possible to achieve. Ark Mission participated itself in fundraising, part of the money was donated by our staff.

For example, we sent to the orphanage a donation to the orphanage for the computer, printer and monitor not a while ago. Over the phone and in writing we received the words of appreciation from the representatives of the orphanages.

This is one report from our foreign staff:

This year Christmas and New Year Days were the very special days for the children in our orphanage. To the surprise of our orphanage staff and kids, we delivered several kilograms of fruits and a few large desert cakes. To explain to those who have never visited countries of the former Soviet Union, fruits is a rare thing, especially on the table of the orphanage children. One little girl came to our representative and gave her a big loving hug. She said that it was her dream that came true while she was holding a new little Barbie doll that she had gotten for this New Year. The expression on her face of happiness almost brought tears to the representative's eyes.

The orphanage director sent "a thank you letter" to our sponsors. One family, Alison and Steve, adopted their son from this orphanage a year ago. They could never forget the trip that they took half way across the ocean to find their son. They sent this donation in the name of their son John-Abzal.

In their letter to the orphanage they wrote:

"We are sending this monetary gift for the baby-house's children, in Abzal's memory. We want the children there very much to have a good and happy celebration party (with a present for each child) at least one time per year so that we can express our gratitude for all you do and for our little Abzal. Thank You is not even close to what you have given us and our family. God Bless"
